Dynamic Soaring World Record - Ok, so what your looking at is an unpowered RC Glider. No engine, no jet, nothing except controls for rudders and ailerons. It’s going a world record 392mph up the side of that ridge. Now you might be asking yourself, “how it possible that an unpowered Glider is going almost 400mpg without an engine?” It has to do with riding the boundary layer between a low and high pressure area caused by the combination of geography and winds. For a great explanation click here. -Gizmodo

Google vs Bing Search - Not sure if your ready to give Bing some quality time or if you simply want to stick with the tried and true Google. Well you don’t have to compromise anymore, Google-vs-Bing allows you to see the results of both search engines simultaneous. Looking at the results of the term “nerdlove” I believe that Google must be vastly superior. :P -Google-vs-Bing

$1.50 DSLR Stabilizer - What an ingenious idea. It basically revolves around tieing a string to a bolt that goes into the tripod mount, and then a washer on the other end that you can step on to vertically stabilize the camera. Brilliant! -MetaCafe

Forbes tests the Panasonic CF-30 Tough Book - So the internet was all a buzz about this little test that Forbes did on the new super durable Tough Book, but it didn’t really sink in with just pictures. This video just did it for me. Cliff notes - Forbes uses the Toughbook as a dartboard, a can crusher, a doritos chips crusher, a Tiger Chew Toy, an Elephant foot stool, and finally as a target for a .22 Long Rifle Pistol. That is one hell of a durable laptop. -Forbes

Theremin + Rock Band + Portal = WIN! - YouTube user conquerearth kicks ass, he put his Rock Band 2 Mic inside a pair of headphones playing the output of his Theremin. He then loads up GLADoS - I’m still alive (by Jonathan Coulton) and sings the song on expert, but using the Theremin instead of his voice! This guy is OK in my book! -YouTube

Orange Solar Tent Concept - Orange has been working with the organizers of Glastonbury for many years now, but their latest tent concept takes the cake. I won’t get too much into the details, but get this: its made from solar material (think of a solar panel but flexible) with glides that can be moved to face the sun throughout the day. A technology called Glo-location would help festival goer’s find their tent by giving them the ability to SMS or RFID their tent, which in turn makes it GLOW! Automatic heated floors, a Touch screen central hub, and WiFi round out the impressive features. Get yours now in 2015. -Orange Newsroom
